Even after watching the LSU Tigers lose consecutive games, including one to his home state Florida Gators, Andre Fitzpatrick still wanted to spend the next four years in Baton Rouge. "LSU was the first school to offer me and show alot of interest, and I really appreciated the faith they had in me by passing on some other 'big name' guys" said the Apopka, Florida native.
Fitzpatrick is rated by OFFLrecruiting.com as the #11 Defensive End in the country. He's thought of as a good all-around prospect, proving to be solid against both the pass and the run. Andre reportedly runs a 4.58 40-yard dash, which at 6'4 235 lbs is really moving, and also has played a little Tight End in the redzone so his hands must be decent.
This brings the number of LSU commitments up to six, but with several prospects visiting over the next few weeks that number should increase soon.
